MEET THE DEVELOPER

Chris Ehrenfeld was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but was drawn to North Carolina by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After receiving his bachelor’s degree from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC, he decided to make Chapel Hill his permanent home.

Chris is passionate about all aspects of real estate, from real estate development and general brokerage to general contracting. During his nearly 20 years in the field, he has been involved in more than $500 million of real estate transactions  As a recipient of the Triangle Business Journal ’40 Under 40′ Award, Chris is recognized throughout the Triangle as a leader in business and development as well as in the community where he lives and works.

Chris is also one of the top 50 entrepreneurs in North Carolina and has brought a list of business successes to Chatham County. As the owner of Bold Construction, Chris has been building custom homes and unique commercial properties throughout the area for over 15 years. Shortly after getting into the building business, Chris obtained his brokerage license and started his next business venture, Domicile Realty, winner of the 2015 Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce People’s Choice Award for Best Real Estate Agency and the #1 general brokerage firm in North Chatham County. His building and real estate brokerage background allowed Chris to move seemlessly into real estate development. Rosemary Village, his first major project, is a $12 million mixed use condo in downtown Chapel Hill. In 2012, Chris branched out even further by partnering with Governors Club Realty and re-establishing it as Governors Club’s premier real estate brokerage firm.

Chris married his wife Jana in 2009, and in 2012 their life together was blessed with the birth of identical twin boys, Max and Mason. While Chris and Jana stay busy with their family and business endeavors, they still make it a priority to give back to the community.  From building a home in Siler City for Habitat for Humanity to raising donations for the Make-A-Wish foundation in lieu of wedding gifts, they believe in helping others and support numerous charities in Chatham County. The family looks forward to many more years of continued philanthropy, happiness, and prosperity in Chatham County.
