Chris Ehrenfeld of BOLD Companies Featured by VoyageRaleigh

BOLD Companies founder Chris Ehrenfeld was recently featured by VoyageRaleigh as part of their Community Highlights series, which spotlights local leaders, entrepreneurs, and business owners making an impact in the Triangle.

In the interview, Chris reflects on his journey into real estate and how BOLD Companies has grown into a vertically integrated real estate platform serving the Chapel Hill and greater Triangle region.

Chris shared that his interest in real estate began early, shaped by the understanding that property is about much more than buildings. It is about the lives that unfold inside them. After graduating from UNC in 1997, he began working in construction alongside his brother, framing homes and learning the business from the ground up. That hands-on experience laid the foundation for what would eventually become BOLD Companies.

Over time, Chris expanded into brokerage, development, and commercial real estate.

What began as a small operation has grown into BOLD Companies, which now operates across custom home construction, residential brokerage, commercial real estate, and development throughout the Triangle.

In the feature, Chris also speaks about the lessons learned while growing the business over the past 25 years. From navigating market cycles to building strong leadership and company culture, he emphasizes that long-term relationships, integrity, and high standards have been key to BOLD’s growth.
